Local Realtors Meet in Tonto Verde
What promotes sales leads? On May 3, 2010 Tonto Verde marketing co-chairs, Rob McCoy and Brian Potter, introduced new marketing initiatives to Rio Verde and Tonto Verde real estate professionals. McCoy indicated that increasing awareness about the Verde’s unique lifestyle is a collaborative effort - resulting in more people learning about the area.
“We have competitive attributes that differentiate us from other golf clubs,” stated McCoy. Our luxury custom homes, scenic mountains, and Home Owner Association financial stability are beneficial features. Having two championship desert courses is significant and being able to own your own golf cart saves $30 - $40 rental fees.
McCoy reminded the audience that Tonto Verde not only has an engaging social calendar but people can generate creative activities on their own. We have a beautiful 18 hole putting course that wasn’t getting much use. One woman started a Ladies Putting group and now there are over 120 women out there having fun. That’s a unique lifestyle you don’t have anywhere else. Effective May 3, 2010, the Marketing Committee is introducing the Communication Information Center (CIC) that provides centralized support and sales and is located within the Country Club. Realtors will have access to using the center, as needed. The CIC will be collecting data, sell corporate outings, golf memberships and arrange rentals for people who want to visit the area.
Vicki Esbensen, ReMax Excalibur commented, “This information created by the Marketing Committee is great. It shows commitment to bring more people to our area and gives the realtors a great platform to start with.”
Brian Potter said that there are over 100 volunteer resident “Ambassadors” who are returning to their home states to talk about Tonto Verde. We also have more than 50 volunteer “Buddies” who live here and are hosting a round of golf or dinner and answering personalized questions for people who may want to buy property or golf memberships. This will make a difference for the realtor’s client who is trying to make a decision.
Other marketing channels we will be utilizing, stated McCoy, include a revised website, media relations and offering Continuing Education classes for realtors.
Fred Anshultz, Rio Verde Sales, told the committee, "The marketing meeting was very well done, very informative and is a great game plan for the future. The DVD is a great tool to use to show the Tonto Verde lifestyle and will be apart of our sales arsenal."
