The second course opened in Tonto Verde in 1999, and provides a great contrast to the Peaks Course. The name was derived from the Box Bar Ranch, a working ranch purchased by the Developers in the 60’s, and from there, the Development of Rio Verde and Tonto Verde began. Again, the Developers called on Gary Panks, to design this course, more difficult from the tees compared to the Peaks Course, longer, but somewhat friendlier around the greens. As with the Peaks, stunning views of the Mazatzal Mountains are experienced on every hole.
The Ranch will provide a challenge even for the most experienced golfer, but 7 different tee arrangements provide options for golfers of all ages and handicaps.
The combination of the Peaks and the Ranch Courses provide the members and their guests with as much variety as they will want in their golf games.
