Jeff OstlundPGA Director of Golf
Jeff Ostlund is a Class “A” PGA Professional and a TPI Certified Golf Fitness Instructor. His patience, ambition and passion for the game allow him to connect with players of all skill levels and help them reach their full potential as golfers. Jeff started his journey and love affair with the game as an eleven year-old caddie at Wayzata Country Club in Minnesota. After graduating from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Sport Management, Jeff worked four years as an Assistant Professional alternating seasons at Minneapolis Golf Club and Tonto Verde. During that time he wasted no time obtaining his PGA certification. Jeff and Donnielle got married in the fall of 2011 and are looking forward to settling in to their new full-time home in the Sonoran Desert.
Tom CrowleyPGA Assistant Golf Pro
Tom Crowley started as a caddy at nine years old at the Park Country Club in Buffalo, New York. He played competitive golf and hockey thru college, then moved to Keystone, Colorado and worked on the golf course maintenance crew for 5 years before becoming a PGA apprentice at the Breckeridge golf club, then spent three years in Maui at Kapalua and the Kiahuna Plantation golf courses. Back to the mainland, Tom then moved to the Fountain Hills Golf Club and earned his PGA Member status in 1994. He was appointed head pro in 1997 and started his regimen of teaching every day. Once the club was sold in 2000, Tom spent time at the Estancia Club, Pinnacle Peak and began his Tonto Verde tenure in 2006. Tom enjoys teaching the fundamentals to all ages from juniors to seniors, stressing the importance of how to practice the right way and how to enjoy the game of golf.
Matt FinchAssistant Golf Pro
Matt has been a PGA Apprentice since October of 2008, his golf career started in Oregon working at a local municipal 18 hole facility. From there Matt attended the Golf Academy of America in San Diego, CA where he received an Associates Business Degree with a minor in Golf Complex Operations Management. Matt’s professional experience started in Glendale, CA working for Tournament Expert a software based company specializing in golf events. After getting experienced with the technology aspect of the Golf Industry Matt soon realized his desire for becoming a PGA recognized golf instructor and accepted a position at Hassayampa Golf Club in Prescott, AZ as an Assistant Golf Professional. During his time at Hassayampa Golf Club Matt received job specific training in Tournament Operations, Time Management, Interpersonal Skills, Inventory and Control, Teaching, and Management. Matt feels very fortunate for the time he spent working at Hassayampa Golf Club and eagerly looks forward to his time here at Tonto Verde Golf Club.
Donnielle OstlundGolf Shop Manager
Donnielle Ostlund is our Merchandise/Golf Shop Manager and is responsible for the purchases and displays in our Golf Shop. Prior to joining the staff at Tonto, Donnielle worked in event sales, planning, and staff management for Mintahoe Catering and Events. She understands the details of running a smooth event and the meaning of customer service. Donnielle organizes the events for the Lady Putters and the Nine and Dine. She is currently working towards obtaining her LPGA Certification. Over the past four years she has alternated seasons between TPC Twin Cities, The First Tee of Three Rivers Park District and Tonto Verde. Donnielle is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and was the Head Coach for the Eden Prairie High School Dance Team for 6 years.
